Can You Get behind the Honda Pilot Concept?

Given the current state of the economy, which is improving only at the slowest possible snail’s pace, people are looking for more affordable vehicles. As most of us are well aware of, Honda produces some pretty affordable vehicles, so it is definition worth it to look at what was once simply the Honda Pilot concept. Of course, now it has gone into production and it is a 2008 car, which means that it will be more affordable than newer models.

So. What do you think? The packaging and refinement attributes were integrated with this model, so that they mesh with the capabilities and utility seen in a decidedly SUV design. The vehicle is designed to seat eight, because with it, Honda was hoping to make the world of cars and the world of trucks come together. Were they successful?

The Ford Wixom Plant Gets A Makeover!

Finally, finally, Ford is going to do something with their abandon plant in Wixom, Michigan and they are going to lease it out.  The factory actually opened way back in ’57 during the glory years of Ford and the American automotive industry and it actually encompasses about 4.7 million square-feet … about 320 acres.  However, it has been abandon for years and now – finally, the lease is renewed and Ford has come up with a plan.

Two companies are actually going to invest in the former Ford plant and they are going to turn it into a renewable energy park.  The plant is going to go through a $725 million dollar renovation and it is actually going to belong to Clairvoyant Energy of Santa Barbara, CA.  Basically – they are relocating their headquarter to Michigan and they are going to produce solar panels.

This is fantastic news for my home state, Michigan and I think that this is going to be fantastic for the environment!

2011 Chevrolet Cruze: GM Needs To Get Used To Selling Them!

You know – you know that GM is known for their trucks.  You probably have owned one of their trucks in the past right?  I know that I have, however – the face of GM has changed and they are switching gears and their thinking and they certainly do not want to be known as the truck-maker any longer.  Instead, they want to be known as a company that can produce and actually sell some of the most compact and beautiful cars in the world.

At least that was the message that was sent to the dealerships – not specifically, but in so many words.  They should get used to selling the smaller-scale cars and they should like it.  Things like the 2011 Chevrolet Cruze are going to be popping up everywhere in the GM world and they are just going to have to get used to it.

To me?  The 2011 Chevrolet Cruze is a fantastic car and I certainly hope that GM switches their gears!

The Reworked Golf R32: Inexpensive, Cool and Chic!

To me – the VW brand is a brand that I know only love, but it is a brand that I can truly trust with my life.  These cars are not just built because they are fun and chic, they are built to last and honestly … they last a very, very long time.  The cool thing about Volkswagen, is the fact that they not only design cars that are chic and affordable, but they rework their cars over and over again until they are perfect … like the Golf R32!

This particular car I think has been worked over a whole lot and finally – finally, it is perfect and the 2010 Golf R32 is going to be one of those ‘must have’ cars of the season.  Whether you are looking for a car that is fun and flirty or you want a dependable car that is going to last you quite a while, the Golf R32 is going to be the car for you.

Personally, I think that I am going to trade in my bug for one of these cars – if only for more room though!  So check out the Golf R32 – it has been reworked and is beautiful now!

Porsche and VW — Merging?

We all know that the Porsche brand is a brand that is very prestige and all around snotty – however, the head of Porsche is actually looking to get out of it and he is looking to merge the Porsche brand with the Volkswagen brand.  How cool is that?  Finally, Porsche is getting some sense and they are going to merge the two brands together, which to me is going to be awesome!

Personally, VW is by far the best brand in the world.  I think that their cars are incredible, they will never die and the prices are actually affordable.  Too bad I can not say the same thing about the Porsche brand, because honestly – I do not think that they are ever going to be affordable, however they are going to be once VW gets a hold of them.
