2010 Ford SVT Raptor with 6.2-liter V8: What Is It?

Ford is a car company that right now … is thriving. While they might not be at the top anymore because Toyota is, they are certainly doing a lot of changing up and they are definitely coming out with all sorts of things that we auto-lovers love. So when the 2010 Ford SVT Raptor was built – I thought that it was going to be one hell of a truck in the first place but throw in a 6.2-liter V8 engine? It’s perfection!

At the SEMA show this year – Ford is finally going to show off the 2010 Ford SVT Raptor with the brand new engine and I think that is pretty damn cool. What the new engine means is that the 2010 Ford SVT Raptor will be faster, better for the environment and all around … make it a better truck.

However, the price tag on this little beauty is about $41k+ which is nothing to sneeze at right?

The Ford Wixom Plant Gets A Makeover!

Finally, finally, Ford is going to do something with their abandon plant in Wixom, Michigan and they are going to lease it out. The factory actually opened way back in ’57 during the glory years of Ford and the American automotive industry and it actually encompasses about 4.7 million square-feet … about 320 acres. However, it has been abandon for years and now – finally, the lease is renewed and Ford has come up with a plan.

Two companies are actually going to invest in the former Ford plant and they are going to turn it into a renewable energy park. The plant is going to go through a $725 million dollar renovation and it is actually going to belong to Clairvoyant Energy of Santa Barbara, CA. Basically – they are relocating their headquarter to Michigan and they are going to produce solar panels.

This is fantastic news for my home state, Michigan and I think that this is going to be fantastic for the environment!

European-Spec Ford Fiesta: One Incredible Car!

If there is one thing that I know about cars … it is going to be that everything in the world is going to change in 2011 … actually next spring to be honest when the Ford Fiesta comes out. This particular car is by far Ford’s best and I think that they are going to change me for good when they finally come out with this cool, young and hip looking car.

That is what the cars these days are all about. Back in the day, the cars were all about the price, how it looked – if it could belong to an executive and the color. Nowadays, it is all about how the body looks, how cute it is and how brilliant and bright the color is. Along with just how packed the technology inside of it is.

That is what the cool thing about the Ford Fiesta. This particular car is packed with technology and it is definitely going to be one hell of a car once it hits the market next year in the spring time!

Ford C-Max: It’s Moving To Spain!

One car that I know that everyone in the world is anticipating is the Ford C-Max. Ford is not my favorite brand of car in the world, however, when I saw this particular car, I actually thought that it looked pretty cool.

The reason for me posting about the C-Max, is because Ford actually made a decision and they decided that they are going to move the production of this incredible car all the way to Spain. No more American made for this car, this car is going to be move from Spain into Germany and it should be built in Saarlouis Germany.

While we all know that Ford is the most American company in the world, there are reasons behind this madness and one of the main reasons is because Ford is trying to expand themselves so they could reach some of the European markets and that is exactly what this move is going to bring them – so really, take it easy on Ford!

Hyundai Genesis and Ford F-150 Top North American Vehicles

The panel of judges for the 2009 Detroit Auto Show picked Hyundai Genesis as car of the year while Ford F-150 was chose as truck of the year.

The Genesis, from the Korean car maker, bested the Ford Flex and the Jetta TDI from Volkswagen. This is the first time Hyundai was nominated to get the top spot.

The Ford F-150 ruled its class unquestionably with challenges from second placer Dodge Ram and third placer Mercedes-Benz ML320 Bluetec.

The panel of judges consists of 50 journalists from the United States and Canada. They decide which is best among the best depending on vehicle safety, design, handling, innovation, value, and satisfaction of the driver.

The award for the Hyundai Genesis was accepted by its designers. The Korean car company expressed its gratitude and celebration for emerging victors in a very competitive field.

The Hyundai Genesis is considered as among its top brand to represent that kind of engineering people can expect from the car company.

Ford is also very pleased with the results of the auto show. They expect their top brand to continue leading their pack. The best truck award only shows their more than three decades of producing the best trucks in the market. The F-150 is considered as the favorite pickup in north America for 32 years.

Among the field of 50 vehicles, the panel short listed 11 trucks and 14 cars for the initial balloting.

In 2008, the Ford Malibu won the car of the year while the Mazda CX-9 bagged the top truck award.
